The Board is introducing stricter deadlines to apply for an Annual Player and increased fees for members who do not pay for the season and do not have an annual player to use their playing rights.

Inactive Playing Status:
A Member may apply for a Waiver of Fees and Inactive Playing Status if they are unable to play golf for the season due to circumstances beyond their control, e.g. a medical issue or on temporary assignment at a distant work location, but the member expects to return to Active Status.
If approved: No fees will be charged. Annual Club Membership Dues must still be paid.

Non-Playing Status:
If a member is taking the season off but not eligible for Inactive Playing Status, a processing fee is charged and Non-Playing Status assigned.
- The standard processing fee is $250.
- If member submits a player who purchases their playing rights, the processing fee is $125

Members who don't submit an application and don't pay the Playing Fees owed to Management will be deemed as Non-Playing Status by the Club.

If the playing rights for Non-Playing Status Members are not sold by January 31, the member may choose:
1) to pay Management for the Annual Playing Fees OR
2) pay the Club a fee, equal to the playing rights charged by Management.

If the Non-Playing Status member pays the playing fees to Management, the member will be Active Status but the Club/Management will continue to try to find an annual player and/or the member can try to sell the playing rights on their own. (Note: Annual Players pay Management $500 above the members' rate for annual playing fees.)
If the playing rights are sold, the member will be Non-Playing Status but reimbursed for the fees they paid based on the amount received from the sale.

If the Non-Playing Status member doesn't pay Management, the Club will bill them a fee equal to the playing rights charged by Management and have 30 days to pay the amount owing to the Club.

The Club/Management cannot guarantee an annual player can be found, so finding a buyer to submit on the application or applying early will increase the likelihood of having a buyer to pay for your playing fees if you plan to not play the season.

Priority for sale of playing fees will be given to members who submit a buyer or were granted Inactive Playing Status. Others will be sold based on the order applications were received . Members who apply year-after-year will be deemed low priority and only filled after higher priority applications are filled.

All Members are responsible to pay their Annual Club Membership Dues ($30) by January 31.
Note a Bylaw amendment to change the date was approved at the 2023 AGM.
