Position Description:
International Peer Mentor (IPM) volunteer their time to serve as resources, advocates and connector for new international students to help them adjust to the new environment in Geneseo.
At the beginning of each semester, IPM will be assigned with new incoming international students and have their own Mentee. Once school starts, IPM will keep in touch with their own Mentee by having informal meeting with them and address to difficulties or struggles they are facing. Also, they will help new international students get involved in campus activities, by holding events, taking them to multicultural organization, GLK events, and etc.
Eligibility:
-You must be considered a full-time student and be registered for minimum of 12 credit hours for Fall 2021
-Academic Standing: You must maintain both a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5
-Attendance: Introduction Meeting with ISSS, Monthly Meeting with Mentors and ISSS office
