"Nobody's Business" short film - auditions
"Nobody's Business"  is a short film written and directed by Dubbo filmmaker, Erifili Davis. 

It will be shot in Dubbo on May 26, 2024. 

Set in the 1920s,  "Nobody's Business" is about underworld queen Evelyn who must choose between her love and her reputation.

Everyone involved will get an IMDB credit and catering will be provided on the set.

Characters:
VINCENT (major role) - male, 25 - 55 years old, charming, charismatic, the life of the party. He loves Evelyn but has an underlying resentment about being a 'kept man' (small payment to selected actor)
BODYGUARD 1 (small speaking role) - male or male presenting, any age, tough and loyal to Evelyn. (small payment to selected actor)
NON-SPEAKING BODYGUARDS  (unpaid)
CLUB PATRON EXTRAS (non-speaking) - 18+, all genders, (unpaid)

The roles of Vincent and Bodyguard 1 will be required to attend some rehearsals. Non-speaking parts may be required to attend one or two rehearsals prior to filming.

Audition details:
When:   Sunday, March 24, 2024, 1 pm to 3 pm (you will be asked to select your preferred time slot below)
Where:  Studio 138, Dubbo 
              NEW address: Unit 1 / 54 Mountbatten Dr Dubbo. 

What to expect at the audition:
  • taking your photo
  • speaking to camera with a little bit about yourself and why you are interested in the film
  • reading from the script to camera and taking direction

You need to be reliable and happy to work as part of a team! You will be required to sign a talent release form which will be emailed to you for you to bring to the audition (or your parents will need to sign it if you are under 18).

Catering will be provided during the shoot. You will receive a credit on IMDB. You may be asked to provide costumes but if you don't have anything suitable, we'll help you out.

If you are under 18, you will need parental permission to audition. We are unable to audition anyone under 16.
