What is SACNAS?

SACNAS is a nationwide, multicultural organization that aims to foster an inclusive and diverse scientific community by supporting people from historically excluded backgrounds in pursuing careers in all fields of science. There are over 130 chapters across the U.S. with the goal to create a sense of community and provide professional development opportunities to support members.

Who can join? All BIPOC, LatinX, and allies at any stage in their careers (undergraduates, graduate students, post-docs, and staff/ faculty).

SACNAS is a historical name for the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science, but everyone is welcome to join!
