This event is a launch of two publications centered on Women & Mobility, Her City & Her Stories and Making Mobility Safe for Women - A Roadmap by Shehri - CBE, followed by activities and a panel discussion with mobility experts. This event will be open for HU community and outsiders.

Her City, Her Stories
Her City, Her Stories is part of the design research program launched in 2019 at the playground. It is a student led project that uses a range of design research methodologies, including human centered design to explore and document women’s real-life experiences with mobility in Karachi. This was a year-long project in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

Making Mobility Safe for Women - A Roadmap
Shehri-CBE has been working on gender issues for some time and one topic of our research has been 'Gender Mobility'. Women face unique challenges in accessing modes of mobility such as buses and in their mobility on roads/bus stops. Challenges range from harassment to lack of seating spaces in buses to social pressures when it comes to say women opting to ride on bikes/cycles
