The European research project PIAQUO intends to demonstrate innovative solutions to reduce the pressure of shipping Underwater Radiated Noise (URN) on the marine fauna.

The project has 5 ambitious goals:
1/ The optimisation of propellers to limit cavitation and vessel URN
2/ The implementation of a URN real-time self-estimation system
3/ The inducement of virtuous approaches from ship owners to reduce their shipping URN
4/ The adaptation of the maritime traffic according to the real-time state of marine ecosystems
5/ The creation of innovative services providing concrete solutions to end-users, shipping management offices and public entities to assess shipping URN impact on ecosystems at the individual and global scale

The objective of this questionnaire is to assess the needs of all stakeholders in order to define suitable services at goal No. 5.
