Build Your Teaching Experience - BYTE 2022 Call for Presentations
The BYTE (Build Your Teaching Experience) 2022 Conference is taking place on Friday, February 18, 2022 and will be hosted at Brandon University.
BYTE is one of Manitoba’s largest educational technology conferences focused on enhancing teaching and learning with 21st century skills. The focus is on building teachers’ skills so they can confidently utilize information and communication technologies in creative, collaborative, and ethical ways in the classroom or collegial settings.
We welcome your ideas for presentations based on our theme of "REIMAGINING the FUTURE". We are seeking workshops from teachers and educational thought leaders who would like to share what they do to promote student learning around the use of technology and best practice. This could include topics such as: computational thinking, design, robotics, AR & VR, tools for literacy and numeracy, adaptive technologies, among many other possibilities. Workshops incorporating Office 365, Google Workspace for Education, and student information systems such as PowerSchool or Edsembli, are also welcomed. Presenters who design workshops should keep effective pedagogy in mind.
Please submit your ideas for a presentation or workshop that you would be willing to present at BYTE 2022 by completing the form below.
Note: Each presentation/workshop session must be submitted separately.
Proposals for presentations (1 hour or 2-hour sessions) will be reviewed based on relevance to the conference theme, originality, contribution to instructional practice, interest for specific BYTE audience, and clarity of the purpose of the session. One hour sessions will be placed in one of the slots below and 2-hour sessions will be scheduled either in the morning (session 1 & 2) or in the afternoon (session 3 & 4). See the sample schedule below.
