2023-24 STAR Lab Facilitator Application
Thank you for your interest in being a STAR Lab Facilitator. A fundamental goal of the STAR Lab Program is the creation of a welcoming and inclusive science community for our high school students. We hope our students discover their inner scientist and feel supported in a challenging academic setting that can serve as a springboard for future STEM opportunities and experiences, hopefully at the University of Arizona (UArizona).

Please complete this short survey so that we can best utilize your research, leadership, and data-analysis skills in training our high school researchers. Thank you!

I understand that if I become a STAR Lab Facilitator, I will be expected to attend a one-hour training session each week to review the information/activities I will be covering with my group of STAR Lab students. Scheduling of these virtual or in-person training sessions will be determined at the beginning of Fall semester based on Facilitator and instructor availability. *
Thank you for completing this survey! Please be on the lookout for an email from dastover@arizona.edu regarding your application to be a STAR Lab Facilitator. Facilitators will need to register for independent study (399 or 499) through their department before the registration deadline in Fall. We typically offer up to 2 units in the Fall semester and 1 unit in the Spring semester with the STAR Lab program running from mid-September to early March.
STAR Lab is a collaboration between the University of Arizona Molecular and Cellular Biology (MCB) Department and SARSEF, supporting young scientists in authentic research experiences in all fields of science.
