Storytelling Theater is a non-clinical mental health project and is not a support or therapy group. The intention and purpose are to normalize mental health conversations within the Asian American community. Although one of the criteria for being an ensemble actor is to share your mental health and immigration experiences, we only encourage you to share your stories to your own comfort level. The story-sharing process will predominantly occur during the meetings and rehearsal times with other ensemble members, not during the public performances. The staff at Storytelling Theater has years of mental health background and experience to create a safe and courageous space during the meetings and rehearsal times. Please reach out to JR Kuo or Natalie Lortz if you have additional questions or concern.
