Join the Camp Staff – the Connecticut Rivers Council is committed to providing youth with a great camping opportunities and enhancing their Scouting experiences.

Opportunities to serve Scouting by being a member of the Connecticut Rivers Council Camp Staff are available to members of the Boy Scouts of America. Applicants are considered for positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, or the presence of a disability or any category protected by applicable law.

-The minimum age to be a member of the camp staff is 15. It is strongly recommended that those who seek a camp staff position should have previously participated in the Counselors in Training (CIT) Program. The Boy Scouts of America standards require 18 and 21 minimum ages for some positions.

-All staff as a condition of employment are required to be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America.

-The principles of the Scout Oath and Law must be practiced as a way of life.

-The staff is expected to set an example of excellence in Scouting, which includes the proper wearing of the Scout uniform.

-Salary is determined per hour by the going State of Connecticut rate.
