Description:
Leading a large organisation, such as chairing a large convention, particularly when done as a voluntary activity, is both a life achievement and a huge undertaking. Many con-chairs grow into the role through experience and organic growth, rather than formal development, and with varying results. In this session we will explore how to build Leadership capability through self-awareness, balancing between thoughtful leadership and personal style, to ensure you motivate and encourage delivery sustainably.

In this session we will cover:
1) Leadership styles, structures & approaches, including Leading Leaders & Situational Leadership.
2) Your impact on others - bringing your whole self, role modelling & setting the example, respect for others' time commitment and dedication, making it fun and fulfilling.
3) Motivating others, including the use of Anticipated Regret.
4) Identifying and preventing problems, such as ‘deadline drama’
