MHS PTSA Grant Request Form 2023-24
The Millbrook High School PTSA allocates funds in the annual budget for the Grant Programs.  The funds awarded will enhance the learning environment and promote academic excellence of students at Millbrook High School.

Individual Educator or Literacy (book) grants will generally be limited to $300; however, exceptions may be made at the discretion of the PTSA Board of Directors. For Student Club support, we generally are able to allocate $50 per request.

All grants are first come, first served. We review grants carefully so we can ensure that the limited funds available are helping the maximum number of students.

The objectives of the Grant Program are:
*  to support as many students as possible - grant requests that benefit few vs many will be more difficult to support.
*  to support student achievement and/or school experiences
*  to provide for curriculum development
*  to promote creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration and innovation in our students

Grant applicants must be able to show a direct impact on students and the support of these objectives. Proposals must align with curriculum guidelines of Millbrook High School and the PTSA Mission!

Selection Process:

All applications will be reviewed by the school principal and discussed & voted on by the PTSA Board of Directors. The selection criteria are as follows:

*  Applicants are MHS PTSA members for this year (2023-2024). To join - click here - https://millbrookmagneths.memberhub.store/. (PTSA memberships are only 1 year, you renew every year.)
*  Applicants must complete this PTSA Grant Form.
*  The proposal must support one or more of the objectives listed above.
*  Applications are approved by the PTSA Board and principal.

Grants will be awarded throughout the school year.  If requests for grants exceed the amount of allocated funds still available, applications will be prioritized based on membership status in the PTSA and whether the applicant received funds the previous year.

If approved, faculty must spend and submit for reimbursement within 30 days of approval notification. This allows income raised in this school year, to be spent on students and staff at MHS this year!

Assets purchased with PTSA funds become school property and need to go through the tagging process before being used in classrooms.

Requests will be reviewed on a timely basis and the applicant will receive letter of notification.

*** All reimbursement requests must be submitted by April 1, 2024.

**** PTSA funds cannot be used to pay for staff (i.e. Substitute Teachers)
