Anderson Mendes
Anderson has been engaged in dancing for over twenty years and has worked with almost all styles of ballroom dancing in Brazil, also expanding his work abroad to several countries in America, Europe and Asia. His pursuit is to live new experiences with movement and this pursuit has provided him the opportunity to work in many communities of pair dancing. He stood out in the world of Salsa, Samba and Zouk, where he has dedicated his last years to an intense process of researching into connection in dancing. His way of studying and deepening his knowledge in dancing led him to understand it as an amazing tool of self-knowledge and awakening of conscience.
Currently, Anderson performs his work with dancing in a therapeutic perspective, adding attention to movement and using it as the main conductor for expanding body consciousness. From that, his solid 11 years partnership in teaching pair dancing with Brenda Carvalho became even stronger, and movements like the Dança Meditativa (Dance and Meditation) project and course, and the Além da Dança (Beyond Dancing) congress came to be!o followers
