Seven Oaks School Division Met School Student Application 2025 - 2026
Applications are now open to any Seven Oaks School Division student​ entering grades 9-12 for the 2025-2026 school year, but we do take our time to make sure you understand the uniqueness of the Met School model before accepting students. You will be contacted for a family or student meeting prior to acceptance. Please note, these are not evaluative in nature but designed so we can get to know you better and your reasons for applying. Letters indicating acceptance, and to which school you have been accepted, will go home in early spring.

Complete this form to apply to our three Met School locations:

Exchange Met:     321 McDermot Ave* HOURS: T-F, 8:45am-3:35pm, Mon, 8:45am-2:35pm

Maples Met:         1330 Jefferson Ave  HOURS: M-F, 9am-3:35pm; Wed, 10am-3:35pm

Seven Oaks Met: 640 Jefferson Ave     HOURS: M-F, 8:45am-3:30pm; Wed, 8:45am-2:30pm

*Free bussing for Seven Oaks catchment students to the Exchange Met in the Exchange District from West St. Paul, each of the three high schools, and Wayfinders.

DEADLINE FOR APPLYING IS MARCH 7th, 2025.
Applications to the Met Schools are not considered complete until all items below have been received.  You will be contacted for a family or student meeting prior to acceptance. Please note, these are not evaluative in nature but designed so that we can get to know you better and your reasons for applying. Letters indicating your acceptance, and which school you have been accepted, to will go home in early spring.
To apply for the Met School you need ALL of the following:
o Student submission*
o Student letter*
o Family (or significant adult) letter*
o A copy of a recent report card
o A copy of your high school transcript (if applying for grade 10-12)
o 2 documents for proof of address (lease agreement, utility bill, tax assessment)
o This online form
+ If you do not live in the Seven Oaks School Division catchment, you will also need to complete:
       - Out of Division Form (link below)
+ If you are new to the Seven Oaks School Division, you will also need to submit:
       - A piece of identification (birth certificate or passport)
       - Manitoba Health Card (this will not be kept on file)
       - A permanent resident or temporary resident card (if you are not a Canadian citizen) 

* The student submission should be your best piece of 'work' and can be submitted in any format, including photographs of the 'work' you are most proud of (this does not have to be 'school work' and it does not have to be in written form). In the student letter, explain why you want to attend the Met School, including your interests, passions, goals, and why you think it’s a good fit for you. The family letter is a chance for parents/guardians to share their perspectives on their child as a learner.  You may want to share past learning experiences, including accomplishments and challenges, and why the Met School appeals to your child and your family. These letters are not evaluative, however they do give us insight into your reasons for applying to this very unique program.
