BCCA requires all coaches and gym owners to have cheer credentialing to the level they are coaching. If CITs are used and the head coach steps away, the CIT is only able to coach to the level they are credentialed.

When you choose the level you are credentialing, please take into consideration your previous certifications.  If you hold an active USASF, ICU, or BCCA certification (or ones that expired less than 6 month ago), you can choose to re-certify your current level or get certified to the next levels.  If you have never received any cheerleading certification, you will have to start with level 1 and up to the level you seek.
 
During the month of July, we will send coaches the online tests after they have signed up and paid the invoice for the level(s) they wish to do. The online tests are to be completed no later than July 31st, 2020. Throughout August, BCCA coach evaluators will contact those closest to them to schedule an in-person or online evaluation. The virtual sessions will be held during the month of August, 2020.

Please note that if a coach have never held a coaching certification in cheerleading you need to formally apply for an exemption to the BCCA board if you wish to do level 1-5 in a single testing session. The board will review the coach's experience and their need for being level 5 certified as part of the application. Please contact bccapres@gmail.com for more information if this applies to you.
