The goal of the Appleton Seed Library is to provide the community the opportunity to borrow seeds to grow food & learn to save seeds thus strengthening our local seed diversity. We hope that people will collectively save and trade seeds as we provide the opportunity to educate and grow alongside you.
This membership form is for a no-cost program consisting of vegetable, flower, and herb seeds that are freely available to the public. Members can check out seeds, grow them with intention to let some plants go to seed, then save some of those seeds to plant next year or share with other gardeners.
Although not required, we highly encourage all members to learn basic seed-saving techniques that will help sustain our efforts. We encourage beginning seed savers to save seeds from these easy plants: lettuce, tomato, beans or peas.
We need community participation to make our efforts continue. Our goals are to help people become more confident gardeners and seed savers, increase our sustainability and capacity to grow wholesome food, and foster a culture of community sharing.
We operates on the honor system. You become a member automatically when you fill out and return this form and are able to contact for seed pick-ups or donations by reaching out to
theseedguild@gmail.com or sending a Facebook message directly to Appleton Seed Library
Thank you kindly for considering our efforts and joining our crusade!
