This form is for SALTA Board Membership elections. The 2024 election has one available position for an Executive Officer. SALTA's Executive Officers typically chair research and publication committees as well participate in Board activities. The Executive Officer role is a great way to shape SALTA's future, connect with language teachers across the globe, and engage in meaningful work for the South Asian language teaching community.

Qualifications: Executive Officers will be experienced South
Asian language teachers dedicated to the promotion of South Asian studies.
(b)
Duties: Attend meetings and assist the President and
Vice-President in carrying out their duties.
(c) The Executive Officers will be elected by electronic
vote of all voting members.
(d)
Term of Office and Renewal: Elected Executive Officers will hold a
term of office of two years, with a possibility of three renewals for a maximum
of eight years. Elected Executive Officers will inform the board of their
intent to continue at the annual meeting in their second and fourth years.
