Sexual Abuse, Sexual Molestation, Sexual Harassment and Conflict Resolution Guidelines and Procedures at Victory Events
As a volunteer, temporary, part-time or full-time employee, you represent Victory Event Series and must agree to abide by the following guidelines:
Conflict Resolution Guidelines and Procedures:
If you are in a situation where a coach, parent, athlete or spectator is in your perception out of control or causing conflict: swearing, yelling, etc, contact the tournament director IMMEDIATELY. Do your best to calm the situation while you wait for help to arrive. If you sense you are in physical danger, contact law enforcement immediately. If you become angry or your temper is escalating or are fearful for your safety, step away and radio the tournament director to have someone assist you and/or allow you to get a break.
NEVER:
Touch a guest, athlete, or coach.
Use inappropriate language.
Videotape or photograph part of a game or guest from your phone, unless your job is specifically for social media or you have been hired to do so.
If a fight starts, never run on the field.
Call the director over the radio.
Walk calmly to the front of the sub box and tell coaches to keep their players on the bench.
Ask the officials how you can help.
If you don’t get a response from the director over the radio, call the cell phone number on your Field Coordinator Sheet.
Sexual Abuse, Sexual Molestation, Sexual Harassment Procedures:
If you suspect or know of any known or suspected physical or sexual abuse incident, you must contact the tournament director immediately so law enforcement can be contacted immediately.
There should be no private, one-on-one interactions between a minor (under 18 years old) and an adult. All interactions should be observable by another adult and within an interruptible distance, except under emergency circumstances.
Safety is our priority at Victory Events. If you see or suspect any dangerous activity by anyone or something that could result in any type of injury to an attendee, contact the Tournament Director.
