We want your nominations for the best performance of morris or an associated tradition (eg rapper, longsword, molly etc) for 2023!
Following our inaugural competition last year, we're again
looking for performances that show our dance traditions at their best; not only in terms of technical quality, but also as an engaging, vibrant and living artform.
Entries will be whittled down to a shortlist of six performances by our panel of experts, before being put to a public vote.
To be considered eligible, performances need to:
- Have taken place during the 2023 calendar year
- Be on YouTube
We're not claiming this will be the most scientifically-judged prize, but we'd like to highlight some of the great performances of morris and other folk dance in the last year, so expect a YouTube playlist of all nominations and extra special attention for the shortlist and winners!
