This is an unpaid position and you must be at least 13 years of age before your camp week. 

Applications are due no later than March 1. 

Placements are made on a first come, first served basis.

WHAT MAKES THIS OPPORTUNITY AWESOME:  
You will assist Craftsman & Apprentice’s summer camp by prepping and facilitating hands-on art experiences. You will get to bring your most crafty self and build community through creative projects. You’ll get to interact and learn from a wide range of little kids with big imaginations.

OVERVIEW:
In this internship, you’ll be supporting the facilitation of camp days at Craftsman & Apprentice. Our Summer is designed to foster friendships, creativity, problem-solving and fun in a small, safe & supportive space. We make A LOT of really rad projects ranging from toys, puppets and cardboard castles. We are big believers in the power of creative play.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Prepping: be prepared to fearlessly experiment & get messy! Help prepare projects and activities for our weekly camps.
• Engaging: getting the kiddos excited to participate in a variety of arts projects.
• Facilitating: Assisting our lead teacher with hands-on projects and activities.
• Collaborating: working together and co-creating with C&a staff & campers/
• Organizing: sorting & arranging materials based on project needs.
• Cleaning: Making sure side work is done at the end of the day including basic tasks like sweeping, taking out the trash, etc.

YOU KNOW YOU'RE A CRAFTSMAN & APPRENTICE SUMMER INTERN IF YOU:
• Love working this kids ages 5-11
• Are always on time or a few minutes early for your shift
• Drop everything to meet and greet kids & families with genuine enthusiasm and excitement
• Enjoy creating innovative projects in a collaborative environment  
• Work well with others. You like to step in to help with special projects
• You bring a force of positivity
• Interested in arts education
