This is an inclusive programme curated for children with special needs. It explores music concepts such as dynamics and rhythm through songs, rhymes and activities. The programme adopts the Kodaly philosopy of integrating music and movement, and the activities and teaching style are especially suited for special children.
The singing programme is recommended for children aged 8-14, but we welcome children of any age to join us. It will be held over Zoom, and a parent or guardian will be required to accompany participating children.
About the programme leads
Lead conductor Ms Tham Pei Wen and assistant conductor Ms Allen Losey, are educators with a wealth of experience in the choral industry, as well as with children with special needs. Ms Pei Wen holds a Masters of Education, as well as a Masters of Arts from the Kodaly Institute in Hungary and is currently a Curriculum Specialist in Pathlight School.
