2024 Swahili Day Performer Application

Jambo! Hello!

We are seeking African performers for our Swahili Day event stage!

Event Date: Saturday, June 1, 2024

Public Event Time: 4 - 9 pm 

Location: Bluegrass Community and Technical College, Newtown Campus: 500 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY

Performances will be held throughout the event. Specific time slots will be assigned prior to the event day. 

This application is for Performance Acts which include but are not limited to:

  • Bands, dancers, DJ's, drummers, singers, drama, comedy, artists, and more.
  • Must represent African cultures.
  • Submit one act per application. Performers may submit multiple applications for different acts.

Completion of this form does not guarantee a performance slot for the event. All performance acts will be reviewed and we will contact you via email provided to confirm your participation.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. There are no guarantees that acts will be selected to perform. We allocate stage times based on the information provided in the application.

2. Performers MUST arrive 1 hour before their scheduled performance to receive an onsite stage orientation.

3. Performers are expected to complete their performances according to provided information. If unable to attend due to illness, injury, or family emergency, contact the Event Staff immediately.

4. Performers will receive free snacks and drinks.
