I am calling to urge you to include the Reproductive Freedom and Equity Fund in your State of the State address and the Fiscal Year 2024 budget. While the Reproductive Health Act preserves the legality of abortion in New York, that right is meaningless without access. The Reproductive Freedom and Equity Fund will create a long-term investment in abortion providers and organizations that facilitate access to care. I thank you for the funding you have already provided to strengthen abortion access in New York and to position New York as an access state, and I urge you to prioritize the Reproductive Freedom and Equity Fund in your State of the State address and the FY2024 budget to ensure that funding is sustainable.
