Farmers Protecting The Cannon River Watershed
Over the past 3 years, farmers and conservationists have joined together to increase cover cropping and improve water quality in Rice Creek, a self-sustaining trout stream and tributary of the Cannon River. With the success that this program has experienced, we're now looking to expand conservation efforts to  adjacent sub-watersheds and agricultural acres! We're eager to invite you to join Clean River Partners, the Rice SWCD, and the University of MN Extension for a meeting to celebrate the success of the program, discuss growing conservation practices in the region, and hear from professionals regarding soil and water preservation, cropping profitability, and how you can get involved. Answer cover cropping questions, talk with fellow farmers, and enjoy a delicious, free lunch!
