New Family Welcome Programme ------Request for a Welcoming Family at VIS

Dear New Family,

Welcome to the VIS New Family Welcome Programme, coordinated by the Parent Teacher Association!
This Programme offers support to new families by connecting them with established volunteer families who already have some experience of the school and living in Vienna. The volunteer families might share the same language(s), nationality(ies) or have children in the same grades.

Please kindly note that only the new families whose child/children are already enrolled in VIS are eligible to join the New Family Welcome Programme.

The support offered by this Programme may vary according to the situation, but with an informal and friendly approach, might include:

* Email or telephone contact before or soon after the new family transitions to VIS;

* The ability to answer questions and share information about the school, living in Vienna et cetera, to help the new family settle in;

* Helping the new family find further information by suggesting useful contacts or links within VIS and Vienna;

* Introducing the new family to other families with the same nationality, culture, language, or children the same age (perhaps arranging coffee meetings and/or play dates).

If you are new to VIS and would like to be set up with a Welcoming Family, please fill out the form below so that we can find a suitable volunteer family for you. We will try to do this as quickly as possible. However please note, many VIS families travel during the holidays & summer months so it may take a little longer at these times.
