Foster Pet Meet and Greet Request
If you are interested in meeting or adopting a pet that is in a foster home, please fill out the form below. Pets that are at the shelter do not need a meet and greet request, please come to the shelter Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 4pm to meet them on or after their available date. Current adoption fees are $25 and include spay/neuter surgery and microchip insertion. There is a $75 returnable deposit required for spay/neuter surgery. If you miss your pet's surgery appointment, the deposit will not be returned.

Foster parents get priority to adopt or find an adopter for their foster pets. Potential adopters are contacted in the order that we received their meet and greet requests. If you do not respond to our attempt to schedule a meet and greet, we might contact the next potential adopter. After submitting a response, you will receive a copy to your email.

If you have any questions or do not hear back from us within 7 days, please send an email to Fosterpet@sbcity.org. Sometimes responses may be delayed due to number of requests. Your response will be deleted after a meeting is scheduled or the pet is adopted. Thank you for considering adopting from San Bernardino City Animal Shelter!

We appreciate your patience! All Meet and Greet Request have been responded to as of 4/25/24 at 10am. Please check your email if you have not gotten a call from us! If your desired pet was unavailable, please consider adopting or fostering other pets at the shelter.

All pets must be at least 8 weeks old to be adopted. If you are interested in raising orphaned kittens or puppies, email Fosterpet@sbcity.org

We appreciate your patience. Due to high volume of requests, responses will be delayed.
