DESCRIPTION:
This day is a unique opportunity to inform your teaching practice through focused classroom observation. To accomplish this,

1) We will observe Regional Media Arts Teacher-Leader Karna Hauck and Regional Visual Arts Teacher-Katherine Norrie teach high school media arts and visual arts units, paying attention to areas such as student engagement, instructional strategies, formative assessment, and/or teaching resources.

2) Following the classes, Jeremy Holien will facilitate a discussion with a focus on transferring observations into classroom practice.

Take away new ideas and strategies for your own teaching.

DETAILS:
The day is hosted by Jeremy Holien, Visual and Media Arts Education Specialist in Professional Development & Resource Programs at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. There is no cost to participate. A certificate for 5.5 clock hours will be available at the end of the day.
