It is important to understand that your vehicle will be taking part in a living history event and will be crewed authentically by reenactors portraying WWII American soldiers, assigned correctly as part of the unit that we are portraying. If you have friends coming on the event that you want as part of your own crew please let us know. Any other spaces will be assigned to selected people from the signed-up attendees (although as the vehicle owner you will have an opportunity to verify the selection of course). We expect the vehicle crew to work as a team and to help the vehicle owner/driver with any tasks they may have, especially towards general maintenance, set-up at the overnight locations, etc. We obviously hope that there will be no issues during the trip, but if there is, let one of the organising team know straight away and we'll get it sorted for you.

We should also make this clear: 2nd Armored in Europe will not accept women (even dressed as men) in the vehicles assigned to the units that were originally male-only units. Should we incorporate a unit that was originally a female personnel unit (or mixed unit), then obviously that is fine.

In return, we expect you as the owner driver to follow the uniform & equipment regulations for the sub-unit you will be assigned too. And of course, the authentic appearance of vehicles is of just as much importance as uniform and kit. We will require you to review your vehicle before you turn up to the event - if it has modern wing mirrors, modern truck indicators, licence plates which can not be folded away or removed, oversize tyres, flags, freewheeling hubs, window stickers etc then we will require you to remove them and bring the vehicle back to authentic standards. To help you with this we will be providing a "Vehicle Regulations" booklet, detailing all acceptable and non-acceptable standards that you can refer to.

Vehicle stowage should be equally as authentic - again, we will provide detailed standards in the "Vehicle Regulations" booklet.

You will be informed of the vehicle markings that have been assigned to your vehicle in advance of the trip - no other markings will be acceptable. If you have not been able to apply these beforehand, we will apply these in the field upon arrival (in removable emulsion paint). In this situation, please ensure that all previous markings have been removed and the bumpers are in plain OD, ready for marking.

NOTE: we will request the following documents from you closer to the date of the event - these are required to be held on file for when the authorities request us to prove that all vehicles on the event are legal to use:

Copy of your Registration document for the vehicle, proving it is road-legal
Copies of the Driving Licences for the stated drivers of your vehicle
Copy of your valid Insurance Certificate (covering the trip dates)
Vehicle-mounted Weapons – copies of the deactivation certificates and/or firearms certificates (including European Firearms Pass)

IMPORTANT:
• Please ensure your vehicle is properly maintained, roadworthy, and comes with a set of tools, relevant spare parts, an inflated spare tyre and wheel (if applicable) and a useable WW2 FUEL Jerry Can.
• Your vehicle will be road-legal, taxed, MOT tested (or equivalent) and have valid Insurance for the duration of the tour.
• If you are entering a TRACKED VEHICLE, please ensure that all drivers have the relevant Road/Track-Laying Vehicle Drivers Licence.

NOTE: For first time attendees, please prepare 3/4 front and rear photos of your vehicle. Your assigned Country Coordinator will contact you and request them once we receive this form.

NOTE: For Jeeps and Motorbikes, transport is only arranged by a 3rd party haulage firm if there is an unused space on a curtainsider/low-loader transport vehicle already booked to carry larger vehicles to the event. It is expected that Jeep and Motorbike owners will use a normal car trailer for their own transport, towards which the event will provide support for the cost (at a rate to be agreed).
