MSUE 4-H and River Rouge Public Library are partnering to offer a FREE 4-H programs for youth 8 & up this summer.  

Mondays July 11- August 15

4-H Sewing Chefs: 2:00pm- 3:15pm
Youth will learn how to operate sewing machines and create table linen, aprons, chef hats, pot-holders, hot pads to use to prepare and serve a special dinner in collaboration with youth in the 4-H Garden Fresh Cooking club.

4-H Garden Fresh Cooking: 3:30pm- 5pm
Youth will learn how to make simple and healthy recipes using fresh fruits and vegetables they can grow at home.

As a final showcase celebration on the last day youth from both programs will share skills to host a special  dinner making and serving a meal made onsite to family and friends invited to join the fun.

To enroll please complete the steps outlined below. You may also ask the library for a 4-H enrollment packet to complete and submit at the center.

2. Login to an existing 4-H family profile or Create a new family profile

3.To find club select "Wayne County" from County drop down
4. Scroll through Clubs drop down list to find the 4-H Club you would like to participate in- you can select both.
              "SPIN Club: 4-H Sewing Chefs at River Rouge Public Library"
              "SPIN Club: 4-H Garden Fresh Cooking at River Rouge Public Library"
5. Select "Clothing in Textiles" or from Projects drop down
6. Complete authorizations
7. Submit
