#EarthDaySingOut Musician Application
The Davis Independent Music Initiative & the Davis Climate Strike are hosting a citywide Earth Day Sing Out.  With local funding (pending*), we'll be able to hire musicians to record a short sing-a-long video for Earth Day, inspiring people to sing out on Earth Day, while they are sheltering in place.

The project has 3 goals:

 *  provide paying work to local musicians who've been economically impacted by the coronavirus crisis
 *  create a unifying public event on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, giving people hope and joy in a difficult time, through fun recordings in a consistent format with great musicianship from a diverse set of local musicians
 *  remind people that the Earth still needs us to speak up and act to protect her.

Are you a musician?  Do you want to record a song for our Earth Day Sing Out?  Apply below.

We are looking for both a) artists who need stipends, and b) volunteer musicians who want to support Earth Day.

To qualify for a stipend, you need to be a professional/semiprofessional musician or emerging professional musician, e.g. someone who performs in exchange for compensation.

Volunteers can share their contact info here, to coordinate, OR just record a song via the format below, for release between April 13 + April 24.

* We are currently seeking funding for this endeavor, with the goal of at least funding at least 7 musicians for 7 songs. We'll start with Davis musicians -- if we raise more than 7 stipends, we will extend to musicians throughout the region.
