Can't wait to get to camp this summer and serve on staff? Well you might not have to wait until summer. :) We're looking for some staff to come early and help us prep the camp for summer. It's a great chance to make a little extra money, and get to know some of the other staff early on. The kind of work you can expect could include the following kinds of things:
-Mowing and weed whacking
-Yardwork and flower bed weeding
-Office work
-Organizing program areas
-Cleaning cabins to prep them for summer
-Preparing the beach front
-Helping get the new beach house set up and ready
-Prepping our Ingham site (similar tasks)
-Other tasks as needed

We also have traditionally asked some staff to stay on later than the last weekend of camp to help us continue to lead worship services, brunches, host guest groups, and help us transition into our Fall season of ministry. You'll see answers related to how late you might want to stay on staff with us.

Finally, every school year (Sept-May) we have a partnership ministry with local churches called YMT (Youth Ministry Team). It's sort of a 50/50 shared ministry experience. Churches contract through the camp for a staff person to help lead their youth ministry, worship ministry, or something else for about 20 hours each week through the school year. YMT members live at camp and help lead our Youth and Adult retreats, and host guest retreat groups. It's a great year-round ministry year, especially if you're interested in pursuing youth/worship/camp ministry but want to get some experience first. It can be for someone who just graduated college, someone looking for a gap-year in between college years, or someone older who is in a transition with jobs right now.

This form is by no means a commitment or application, but in conversation with some of our churches, it is pretty likely we'll have at least one opening to join us. We're just trying to gauge interest especially among those who might be interested. Please indicate your interest below.
