ORIAS World History Reading Groups

Where: 
  • The East Bay reading group meets in hybrid format so you may attend either in person at the ORIAS office or via Zoom. 
  • The SF reading group meeting location is TBD, pending a decision by group members.
Summer Institute for Community College educators: The State anf the Information Economy
When: May 31 - June 1, 2024 
Where: in person, ORIAS office

The summer institute for community college educators explores topics in world history and global studies. The 2024 Summer Institute for communicty college educators will be The State and the Information Economy.The program is open to community college instructors and AP-level high school history-social science teachers (space permitting). Summer Institute for k-12 educators: Climate and Migration
When: June 24 - 26, 2024
Where: in-person, ORIAS office

The k-12 Summer Institute is ORIAS' oldest continuously running program and is open to k-12 teachers across disciplines. The 2024 Summer Institute for k-12 educators will be Climate and Migration.
