Thank-you for your interest in participating in this year's sci-art gallery! Science-Rendezvous (SR) is a one-day festival that happens simultaneously at sites across Canada, showcasing local scientific research and programs. It is family-friendly and highly interactive, with the goal of promoting interest in science and research. Best of all, it is FREE! Downtown Toronto is Canada's largest festival, with over 25,000 attendees last year. This year's festival will be held Saturday May 9th, 2020 from 11am-4pm.

Part of this wonderful celebration is the display of local science-art, or sci-art. This can be in any medium, with any kind of subject relating to any of the scientific disciplines. The Sci-Art Gallery is a relatively new addition to the SR festivities. This year will be the 3rd iteration, as we are growing and changing every year. We hope to accommodate as many artists as possible. While we unfortunately cannot pay our artists, we invite and encourage participating artists to sell their work.

We are also looking for large-scale pieces and the possibility of running some workshops! If you have something you'd like to share please let us know.

A few of the key changes we will be making this year:
-The gallery will be primarily outdoors, as to ensure maximum exposure and participation. This may limit our access to outlets (in the event of inclement weather, everything is moved indoors)
-We will provide no printing, artists are responsible for bringing everything they need to set up their display

You simply tell us how much space/what equipment (tables, chairs) you need. Our plan this year is to have walls that you can nail into, as hanging pieces was an issue last year. Should this change, we will let you know ASAP.

If you think you'd like to participate, please fill out the form below. We have volunteers that can help with set-up and tear-down, and we provide a pizza lunch! Please keep in mind this is an all-day commitment; We will follow-up with more information as it becomes available and make sure you are still interested in participating.
