Paihia School Local Curriculum - Parents
The National Curriculum provides the framework and direction for schools, regardless of type, size, or locationin New Zealand. It gives schools the scope, flexibility, and authority they need to design and shape their curriculum so that teaching and learning is meaningful and beneficial to their particular communities.
We would like to develop our own local curriculum so when our students leave Paihia School they have gained skills, knowledge and experiences unique to our school and community. We are gathering ideas and opinions from staff, students and parents/whanau.

You do not have to answer all the questions. This is an opportunity to look forward and we are trying to make things even better at Paihia School. We acknowledge this is a work in progress but will continue to ‘polish the taonga’ that our school is. We look forward to your ideas for the future.
