MANDATORY Orientation Training *
It is mandatory to attend a training session before beginning as a direct service volunteer. Each training occurs on a Saturday from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Physical Ability *
We are happy to welcome volunteers of all physical abilities to the CWC. The center has an accessible street parking space right outside our door, is accessible by a wheel chair lift, and has a bathroom on the first floor. Lots of what our volunteers do can be accomplished within accessible spaces. Indicating your physical limits will not affect our consideration of your volunteer application! At the center, we emphasize self care and respecting your own boundaries. By being transparent and clear about your physical ability, you are letting us ensure we are able to provide you and all our volunteers a safe experience.

Computer Literacy *
One of the most used services we offer is unlimited computer access. We expect our volunteers to be available to members for help with trouble shooting problems and answering basic questions about computer usage. In addition, for internal communication and record keeping, volunteers use the volunteer laptop and google drive account. Please indicate your comfort level navigating these things.
How many hours a week would you like to commit to volunteering? *
We require a minimum commitment of one shift a week for at least six months. A standard daytime or weekend shift is 3 hours. A standard evening shift (6pm - 8pm) is two hours. We are always happy for volunteers to request longer or multiple shifts.
What is your availability?
The center is open Monday - Friday 10:00am - 8:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am - 3:00pm. Shifts are generally three hours long with the exception of two hour evening shifts that start at 6pm.  You may request longer shifts if you prefer. Please indicate the times you are available to volunteer below. PLEASE NOTE: As the majority of applications we receive are for evening and Saturday shifts we are not able to hire everyone who applies to volunteer for those times. Based on our needs, priority will often be given to applicants with weekday daytime availability.
