Juneteenth, which honors the day when those enslaved in Galveston, Texas, received word of Freedom.  Juneteenth (June 19) became an official statewide day of observance in Utah in 2016 being observed on the 3rd Saturday in June. Since then, the Juneteenth festival continues to grow and include additional locations and activities. Weber State University continues its partnership as we commemorate the 33rd annual Juneteenth Freedom and Heritage Festival. Please fill in the information below to volunteer. Volunteer Times & Responsibilities
Dates:
Saturday, June 11th - Columbus Senior/Community Center,
8am - 10am - Set Up (canopies, tables, chairs)

Shifts - 2hrs - 8am - 2pm - Assisting vendors in and out; children’s games and activities; grounds area.
1-3pm: Breakdown

Saturday, June 20th - 8am - 10pm - Ogden Amphitheater
Shifts - 2hrs - 8am -11am Setup: Assisting vendors in; set up tables, chairs, canopies;
11am - 9pm: assist with children’s games and activities; concessions; grounds area.
8pm-10pm: Breakdown

Sunday, June 21st- 12noon - 7pm
10am - noon (set up and prep; vendor load-in)

Shifts - 2hrs - 12 noon - 7pm - Assisting vendors in and out; children’s games and activities; concessions; grounds (servicing trash receptacles and rest rooms)
6-8pm: Breakdown and clean up.
