First Tee — Greater Chicago, a registered 501(c)(3) organization, is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young individuals across the Chicagoland region. Our mission involves offering educational initiatives that nurture character, instill valuable life principles, and encourage well-informed decisions, all achieved through the platform of golf. Since its establishment in 2000, First Tee — Greater Chicago has reached out to young people through its primary program, the Life Skills Experience, while also extending its impact to schools and communities through various outreach efforts.

We know kids become a better version of themselves when they have space to be who they are, surrounded by passionate people who guide them to see what they are capable of. We are in search of committed and dependable volunteers who can play a pivotal role in positively shaping the lives of our youth.
What our volunteers do:Assist in setting up / cleaning up equipment for programming.
Interact with participants to strengthen their golf skills and lessons.
Contribute to maintaining a secure environment for the children.
Assist as a greeter or registration support for donor/adult events
Assist in clean up or organization of storage areas
(For those who would like to coach, volunteers hours must be completed before consideration)
-Please note our fall, winter and spring classes are late afternoons/evenings and weekends.
Requirements: Background check (BC) and complete Safe Sport Certification
You must complete BC and Safe Sport Certification before you volunteer.
You can begin your BC and Safe Sport certification:
**Please note that a background check ($20.50 self pay) and SafeSport training is a requirement for our organization. Please note that we are required to complete Background checks every two years and complete SafeSport training every year. Upon completion, please send certificate to Dinna.
