All children up to the age of 7 (in Reception, Year 1 and 2) are entitled to a free school meal. This is known as ‘Universal Free School Meals’ (UFSM)

But did you know that if you are receiving certain benefits, your child may be entitled to Income Related Free School Meals.  This would mean you could receive help towards trips and clubs, free school meals (for children in Key Stage 2) and it would also mean extra money for the school through Pupil Premium funding, worth at least £900 a year.

Remember, just registering your child for Free School Meals means that School receives the extra money even if you don't take up the free meal. No one will know you have registered, and it will not affect any other benefits you are claiming.
