James Joyce Scholarship 2024
The James Joyce Library Scholarship is presented by the Brentwood Library Board of Trustees in memory of former Brentwood Mayor James Joyce.  Mayor Joyce was an avid supporter of the library and the youth of the community. This year's scholarship is $500 and will go to a high school senior who is furthering his or her education through either a college or vocational program.

Requirements to Apply:
  • Applications will be judged first and foremost on the thoroughness of the ideas presented, creativity, and quality of expression
  • Applicants must be a resident of Brentwood Borough
  • All applications must be submitted online
Applications close on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The scholarship winner will be announced on Senior Awards night.

You will be asked to present a plan that will create a positive change within the library or present a new idea that can improve the library’s services and programming. There will be several follow-up questions, including programming implementation and foreseen obstacles.
