Teaching Artists in the Schools                             Host Site Application
Teaching Artist Placements (AKA Residencies) are being scheduled for Fall 2024. Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) employs the Teaching Artist and provides necessary screening.  For this program,  3 to 10 hours of contact time with the same group of students is expected for each residency. The classroom teacher must be present during the period.

Teaching Artists are prepared to integrate their lessons through collaboration with the classroom teacher or provide a completely arts based lesson.

Please submit one Google Form application for each classroom placement that your school is requesting. Contact Jennifer Spangler (jspangler@bcoe.org) with any questions.

NEXT STEPS: After submittal of this application, Spangler will review and confirm the availability of the Teaching Artist. Then as soon as possible she will connect the Teaching Artist and the Classroom Teacher.
