Virginia Duals Online Team Application
Use this form to submit your application to the 2024 Virginia Duals on January 12-13, 2024 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Va.

The National College Division will guarantee teams two duals per day. There are three 16-team high school divisions - 16 each in the National High School, American High School and Black & Blue High School Divisions. There are 16 teams in the American College Division. A tournament representative will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss your team's inclusion in future Virginia Duals events.

NOTE: This is a FRIDAY-SATURDAY event. So please keep this in mind when applying for the tournament. If you are unable to compete on Fridays or are unable to miss school to travel to a competition, please do not apply. We cannot have teams commit, then back out because they weren't aware of how the event is scheduled.

High Schools: Please note you are guaranteed FOUR duals, provided the brackets get to 16 teams. Teams will move on and face teams who win each round. Teams who lose will face a losing team each round. Teams who win a division will move up to the next division for the following year. Top four teams in each division each year will receive invitations back.

Divisional Breakdowns
National College
Division I Only. Two matches per day. Matches assigned and showcased throughout the two day event. Extra Countable Matches also offered.

American College
Non-Division I teams. 12-team pooled format (3 teams per pool), then Gold-Silver-Bronze brackets. Two matches on the first day in the pool. Second day is Gold-Silver-Bronze semis and finals. (May be expanded to full 16-team bracket with 4 guaranteed matches if interest dictates).

National High School
Competitive teams from across the country. Nationally-ranked or highly ranked within your state. Also good for teams with a handful of highly ranked wrestlers to hit other nationally ranked wrestlers in a dual. Due to the progressive nature of the bracket, you will move ahead facing teams who have won matches, if you lose, you will wrestle teams that have lost matches. Our bracketing format is an advancement tournament that places out to 16. 15 of 16 teams are guaranteed to win a dual.

American High School
Geared more for balanced teams who are on the cusp of being nationally competitive. It's rare a nationally-ranked high school team competes in this division, but it has happened. Same format as the other divisions, with a progressive bracket that places to 16. If you win, you go against a team that wins, if you lose, you'll hit a team that loses. 15 of 16 teams are guaranteed to win a dual.

Black & Blue High School
Usually reserved for local teams and Virginia schools who want to compete in the event and might have a few wrestlers likely to place at the state tournament. It's atypical for out-of-state teams to compete in this division. Highly rated out of state teams will not be considered for this division. 15 of 16 teams guaranteed to win a dual.
