2022 Ralph Blalock 4-H Livestock Award
This award was created in honor of Ralph Blalock who was a dedicated Extension Agent for twenty-seven years in Edgecombe County. Ralph's passion for 4-H youth livestock work was tremendous and contagious. He enjoyed having youth involved in the livestock program and encouraged them to do their best, bring their best to the show ring and leave the show ring knowing they had done their best.

The Ralph Blalock 4-H Livestock Award will be awarded annually at the Edgecombe County 4-H Achievement Program to one Edgecombe County 4-H'er. The award is designed for youth 14-18 years old whose application shows genuine interest, growth, leadership, showmanship skills,  sportsmanship, and service learning in the field of livestock. A cash award of $50 and a plaque will be awarded to the winner of the Ralph Blalock 4-H Livestock Award.
