Unfortunately we are not able to have a St. Maarten Heineken Regatta this year.
Normally, the Sailing School is closed during 2 weeks around the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.
This year, the sailing school will be closed as well for the regular sailing program.
But we would like to offer you clinics during these 2 weeks, to keep you all sailing and motivated.

There will not be any regular classes from March 1st till March 14th.
The normal program will start again on Monday March 15th.

We offer 5 different clinics.
Costs; 25 USD for members of the SMYC, and 30 USD for non members per class.
Time; 3.30 – 6 PM.

Only after receiving confirmation from our instructors, your participation is guaranteed. It will be depending on the amount of entries, level and weather.

Clinics;

1. Team racing;
Wed. 3 March
For the advanced Optimist Sailors we will organize a clinic in Team Racing.
Minimum of 4 - max participants - 6.

2. Capsizing;
Thurs. 4th of March
As we have a lot of the sailors in the program that recently started sailing; we would like to get the kids more comfortable being in and around their boat in the water. We will take Optimists and Laser Pico's to Kim Sha beach where our instructors can stand in the water and help their kids practice the capsizing routine. Capsizing isn't scary, it's fun!
We strongly recommend the youngest sailing of our program to join this clinic.

3. Beach Sail;
Friday 5th of March
We go on a fun sail to one of the beaches around the lagoon or Simpson Bay with Optimists and Pico's.
Minimum of 4 - Max participants; 9

4. Gennaker Class (RS QUEST)
Wed. 10 March
For RS Sailors we will organize a Asymetric Spinnaker (Gennaker) Class.
Minimum of 4 - max participants; 10

5. Advanced Racing (Laser and RS Quest)
Thurs. 11 March
Maximum of 10.

6. Introduction to racing for Optimist and Laser Pico.
Friday 12 March
Minimum of 4 - max participants; 9
