Illustrators will work with columnists and/or reporters to create an illustration or graphic to accompany text.

• Required to contact writers within 24 hours of being assigned to a project.
• Responsible for editing and giving the request to the design editor by deadline.
• Be knowledgeable in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Be knowledgeable in Star Style and AP Style.
• Required to attend weekly design staff meetings.
• Encouraged to attend all staff functions.
• Required to attend monthly all-staff meetings.
• Join appropriate SLACK channel and maintain effective communication.
