Engineering a Sustainable Future: Bridging Minds, Building Skills
18-19 March 2024, Istanbul Technical University

Application Deadline:
        1. On-site participation: 21 February 2024
        2. Online participation: 15 March 2024

Join us online or in-person for a transformative workshop at Istanbul Technical University aimed at fostering collaboration between researchers, educators, and students in engineering. Our goal is to explore the integration of sustainability principles and transversal skills into engineering education, equipping future leaders with the tools to address global challenges. Through an interdisciplinary approach centered on competence-based education, we aim to catalyze joint research projects and facilitate the implementation of sustainability competences into engineering curricula. Drawing upon the expertise of the SusCo Community and participating universities, including BME, İTÜ, UPM, and Ponts, we will showcase best practices and research outcomes to inspire dialogue and collaboration within the Alliance and beyond.

This workshop offers a platform to discuss new research directions, initiate collaborative projects, and engage with external stakeholders such as HR agencies and engineering companies. Additionally, based on student feedback and input, we will introduce the SusCo Talks! series, providing a forum for in-depth discussions on critical topics related to sustainability and transversal skills development. Researchers and graduate students (PhD, Master) are invited to join us in shaping the future of sustainable engineering education.

We have limited in-person places, the submission of the form does not mean guaranteed acceptance. The organizers will contact you soon.
