1. Setting your Agenda: Time to Pet app and scheduling
- You will receive an invitation to join our app Time to Pet, which is our main tool for scheduling and reporting purposes.
- You will be upfront informed in regards to the date, time, and
location of the client for the Meet & Greet or the pet sitting and/or dog walking visit.
2. Meet & Greet: meeting the client for the first time
- An interview will be set up for you to meet the client or you will join one of us on a visit with a client.
- You are encouraged to take notes during the meet-and-greet and we will provide all the details and
instructions before the visit via our app.
- Be sure to ask questions about things that aren't clear to you and
check about the customer keys one day before.
3. Pet Sitting: usual in-home visits
a) Duration and Frequency
- A visit is generally 40 minutes long for dogs and for cats.
- Pet sitting visits are usually done approximately at the same
time each day to maintain continuity for the dog(s), cat(s)
and/or bird(s).
- Most cat visits are once a day, and that time can
(usually) be as suits your schedule. If the visits are twice a day for
dogs and cats, we do one visit in the morning (7-10 a.m.) and
one visit in the late afternoon/early evening (4-7 p.m.) unless the
client requests otherwise.
- Most pet sit "assignments" are one week or more, but some may
include weekends and holidays. We prefer to hire candidates
that are available for both. Preferential hiring will be given to
candidates that are available during weekends and holidays.
b) Important tasks during the visit
- The time will be spent walking the dog(s), feeding the animal(s),
cleaning up any messes you (or they) have made (counter and
spoons cleaned), and scooping the litter box daily.
- You may be required to administer medication(s) to the pet(s), if applicable.
- Spending time with the pets is the most important thing, ensuring their basic
needs are met, playing with them, to pet them and showing them plenty
of love and care.
- You may be requested to mail and paper pickup, and any light
watering for indoor/outdoor plants.
c) Best Practices Policies- Notifying your manager upon arrival of your first visit and
when completing your last visit to let us know that all went well (you will need a phone with WhatsApp and the Time to Pet app).
- You will receive a key to the customer house. We recommend keeping the key safe (in your
pocket) at the moment you arrive in the house, so you do not leave
the key inside the house and lock yourself out.
- Client confidentiality is strictly enforced. Do not bring your
friends or children to the house or tell anyone that a particular
client is away.
- If any issues and/or emergency situation occurs during your
visit, it is imperative that you contact your manager right away.
- Due to the bonding that occurs between sitter and animal(s),
we require at least a three-month commitment to work with our
company on an ongoing basis for any position.
d) Compensation
- Pay schedule of QR45.00 per 40 minute pet visit (The Pearl)
- Pay schedule of QR50.00 per 40 minute pet visit (Lusail | West Bay)
