The YLS has developed a unique career immersion mentoring program which will pair 2L law students with attorney mentors. The mentors will guide students through a series of experiences that will benefit the students’ careers, focused on topics such as career preparation, networking, practical skill development, thought leadership, and public service. Examples of experiences may include conducting a mock interview, allowing the student to shadow a virtual hearing or deposition, or editing a writing sample. The goal is to coordinate one experience per month during the program (runs October 2020 through April 2021), the time commitment is approximately 1 hour per month and all experiences will be virtual.
