CAMP OPTIONS

CAPITAL LEARNERS:
Pre-K - Kindergarten (4 children max)
2 hours, 2x a week, for 4 weeks
Aug. 31st - Sept. 23rd, TUES & THURS

This 4-week group is best suited for children who have mastered pre-writing skills and are ready to begin writing capital letters. This is a great option for Pre-K students and/or Kindergarten students.  Must be able to follow simple directions, not be a flight risk, or display aggressive behaviors.


LOWERCASE LEARNERS:
Kindergarten - 1st grade (4 children max)
2 hours, 2x a week, for 4 weeks
Aug. 31st - Sept. 23rd, TUES & THURS

FOUCS :
Fine motor development
Core and upper body strength
Formal instruction of lowercase
Instruction to write on the line
Instruction for letter and word spacing
Support for writing grasp
Tricks & tips for lefties
This 4-week group is best suited for children who know how to write capital letters and are ready to learn correct formation of lowercase letters or students who are having difficulty maintaining and progressing with their lowercase letters.   Must be able to follow simple directions, not be a flight risk, or display aggressive behaviors.

THE REFINED WRITER:
1st - 3rd grade (4 children max)
2 hours, 2x a week, for 4 weeks
Aug. 31st - Sept. 23rd, TUES & THURS

FOCUS:

Refine letter sizing 
Refine letter and word spacing
Refine writing on the line
Support for writing grasp
Trick and tips for lefties  
This 4-week group is suited for students who have already learned capital and lowercase letters, but are having difficulty with legibility, spacing, formation, and keeping letters on the line. This class will focus on refining current handwriting skills.  Must be able to follow simple directions, not be a flight risk, or display aggressive behaviors.

We understand that all children develop at their own pace, therefore class ages/grades may overlap different camp groups.  Age/grade can be flexible if the fit is appropriate; we will work together to determine support the best fit for your child.

Location: Garden City, on the Greenbelt, across from the Boise River.

I understand this camp is NOT occupational therapy. This is handwriting tutoring, lead by an occupational therapist. If you have concerns about your child's development, I strongly encourage you to speak to your primary care provider and request an in-depth evaluation from a pediatric occupational therapist (for further explanation please view our FAQ). *
