We would like to invite you to attend the third annual UA Little Rock Mobile Institute on Scientific Teaching (MIST, formerly MoSI) in an online environment on May 14th (introduction), and in person OR online May 17 - 21st! The workshop will be conducted in a hybrid flexible (Hyflex) modality (through Zoom or you can come to campus!), with components on how to best engage students in an truly hybrid environment, with a short orientation meeting from 2 - 3:30 pm on Friday the 14th of May, and the workshop daily from 10 am to noon and 1 - 4 pm Monday through Thursday and 10 am to 1 pm on Friday.

This workshop is open to all faculty that teach at UA Little Rock, not just science faculty (as may be inferred by the name of the workshop).

The UA Little Rock MoSI will expand and sharpen participants teaching skills through workshops facilitated by national science education experts and many of our own faculty members! Participants will have a hands-on experience of the impact of evidence-based teaching approaches such as active learning and inclusive teaching practices, with deliberate and backwards design. This workshop has been identified as a major transformative event in the career of many college faculty, from R1 institutions to community colleges.

With many of us utilizing online and hybrid instruction, the workshop will also focuses on how to maximize engagement of our students in online environments in parallel to those in person (hyflex).
