Participants and spectators (if any) must follow all rules and procedures for a safe and fun event. Numbers will be limited according to regulations at the time of the event.

Participation is voluntary. NDSU Extension does not guarantee that participants are fully protected from COVID-19 exposure.

There are 3 age groups. Age as of Sept. 1, 2019:

Cloverbud:   5-7 years
Junior:         8 years old to Grade 6
Senior:         Grade 7 to final year of 4-H

Demonstration
Illustrated Talk
Speech (Prepared or Impromptu)
Interpretive Reading (Humorous or Serious)
Dramatic Presentation
Mass Media Presentations (Commercial; Radio or TV Broadcasting)
Electronic Presentation (Video, Website Design or Software)
Fishtank

You may enter only once per category, but may enter as many categories as you wish. 4-H dress code is required unless your presentation requires a costume.

Cloverbud Participation:

Cloverbuds may recite the Pledge of Allegiance, the 4-H Pledge, any short verse/poem, or do any of the categories listed above. This is non-competitive. Cloverbuds will receive a t-shirt and participation ribbon.

Awards:

Junior and Senior Division participants are eligible for the following awards:

Grand Champion:      $20 and ribbon
Reserve Champion:   $15 and ribbon
High Point:                 Choice from an embroidered coat, vest, hoodie or duffle bag

All participants receive a participation ribbon.
